Greenware cold cups, portion cups and their lids are made entirely from annually renewed, US grown corn. Grown and manufactured in the USA. Robust leak proof structure, sustainable, compostable. The best cold cup available, no doubt!
Construction: Natureworks Ingeo™ PLA, derived from corn. Stronger and better quality than similar PLA imported cups, traveled less than a quarter of the distance to be here too!
Performance: Cold liquids and foods. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 105° F.
Compost-ability: ASTM D6400 and BPI Certified. Requires commercial composting. It will breakdown given extended time in larger well-managed piles.
Replacing: #1-PET, #6-PS. Cost effective with PET. Forget hoping that recycling your plastic cups makes a difference. Buy a renewable resource cup.
